Stats & Income Report October 2013

Hello and welcome to the next 87Studios income report. It's gonna be short this month, but with positive vibrations.

What's new

October was quite great month. I decided to start a new section where we'll be writing about Ghost. To celebrate it's launch we had a giveaway last month. And I'm pretty amazed how easy it was to install Ghost and make changes. But it's not a place to discuss it.  Besides that, I still have a lot of problems with free time, but it should change in December. We'll see 🙂

What is also important, we finally decided with Sourav to still use 87studios.net domain instead of wp87.net. We have also a new logo for 87studios, but it's hard to decide between the new and the old one. What do you think?

All right, it's time for numbers.

Traffic and Metrics

150 visits on average day - good enough for me. I was expecting lower traffic like in previous months, but got positively surprised. Check out the charts from Google Analytics.

Expenses

October was the first month that I had to spend extra money for this website.

  • DigitalOcean VPS: $5,00
  • Logo Redesign: $5 - I love Fiverr

Overview and goals for next month:

As I told last month, changing server location (that's only my guess) brought traffic back. Or maybe it was the little SEO work done last month? I'm really not sure which one of those two did that, but it's good that something helped.

At the end I'd like to say THANK YOU to Devesh from WPKube for his big help with our giveaway.

I hope you have enjoyed this month’s  report. If so, I encourage you to check out the income reports of my friends:

  1. Thank you very much..

  2. That's a good increase in monthly income!

Curious as to what SEO you were doing? Put that effort into content & you will notice a huge difference in both traffic & income!

Look forward to reading your report again next month! All the best!

    • Hi Sam,
      thanks for your opinion.
About the SEO, I got amazed by Matthew Woodward tutorials and done some steps.
I'd like to have enough time to write more articles, but hope this gonna change soon.

      • Yeah I know that it is easier said than done! But, once you are a little more profitable you can then re-invest this income into articles for your website! (if this is the route you decide to take)

Its worked a treat for us!
